The Diablo Canyon Tritium got a superb performance from third baseman Bartolo León. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Wildwood. The Fishers won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, León was named the player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Wildwood reliever Eugene Miller picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Alfonso Hernández was saddled with the loss. Wildwood improves to 43-24 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jeffrey Phelps came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Diablo Canyon pitcher Alfonso Hernández, he hit a 0-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Wildwood on top, 5-4.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Wildwood manager Scott Smith.
