Fishers Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Iowa City
|
Wildwood and Iowa City met at Hayden Fry Field in front of a lively crowd.
The Wildwood Fishers picked up a win at Hayden Fry Field, knocking off the Iowa City Stalkers, 6-0. Starting pitcher Emílio Romero played a key role in the triumph. The Fishers bumped their record to 42-23 with this latest triumph.
One pivotal at-bat came in the bottom of the third with one out. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Stalkers trailing 2-0, Emílio Romero needed to make a quality pitch. He threw a 1-1 changeup to retire William Stoltz, who popped out.
