Camacho Hits 2 home runs in Squids Win
The 2036 season is getting ugly for Asheville.

The Cummaquid Squids defeated the Asheville Boomsticks, 9-4, at Quick Stop Stadium. Cummaquid designated hitter Tony Camacho was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Cummaquid starter Dennis Allen was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 5-5.

Camacho had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Squids went on to win.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Camacho told the Cummaquid Citizen.

Asheville, at 22-42, has lost 7 straight.
