Peaches on to George Washington Trophy
The dream of raising a championship banner in Atlanta took a big step forward today. The Atlanta Peaches have won the Ben Franklin Cup, eliminating the Nashville Nightmare to advance to the George Washington Trophy.

Atlanta won the final game 5-4 and the series 4-2.

Ricardo López was named series MVP for a huge performance. He hit .333 with a .407 on-base percentage. He drove in 4 RBI, had 3 home runs and scored 6 runs.

The Atlanta Peaches don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Wildwood Fishers - Motown Hitmakers series. Motown leads the series 3 games to 2. The George Washington Trophy schedule will be announced after the Ben Franklin Cup finishes.
