Great Black Swamp Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R4
Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Jeff Lawler, the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens stopped the visiting Duke City Heisenbergs, 13-6, in Game 3 of the George Washington Trophy today. Lawler was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mud Hens, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the seventh when Lawler hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Mud Hens into the lead, 7-6.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Lawler. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest. The scheduled starters for the game are Hoo-gwo Teng for the Duke City Heisenbergs and Todd Burton for the the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens.
