Heisenbergs Even With Mud Hens After Walk-Off Win
|
The Duke City Heisenbergs relied on the hitting of second baseman Nathan Carter to get by the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 4-3, in Game 2 of the George Washington Trophy today. For the game, Carter went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Carter had the big at-bat for Duke City. With two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single, giving Duke City the 4-3 win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Carter said.
The next game is set to be played Sunday, October 29th, 2051. Slated to start are Robbie Lamb for the Duke City Heisenbergs and Roberto Jiménez for the the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens.
