| Raucous Hayden Fry Field Crowd Propels Stalkers to 4-1 Victory; Series Tied at 2 | Leave it to the veteran.
The Iowa City Stalkers got a great start from 36-year-old right-hander Joseph Burns, who earned player of the game honors today as Iowa City won the contest 4-1 at Hayden Fry Field. Burns threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 2-2.
Arturo Solís chipped in for Iowa City with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Burns said.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Iowa City. The scheduled starters for the game are Brian Smith for Wildwood and Mark Townsley for Iowa City.
