Riding the 2-hit performance of catcher Zakaria Olopoto, the Ypsi Yard Cats stopped the visiting Texas Renegades, 8-5, in Game 2 of the Alexander Hamilton Cup today. Olopoto was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Yard Cats, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Olopoto delivered big-time for Ypsi, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Lance James. The game-changing hit put the Yard Cats on top, 6-5.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at The Cavern in Dallas.
