Pearce Blasts Hitmakers, Devil Cats Take Game 2, 7-4
The Wicker Park Devil Cats relied on the hitting of left fielder B.J. Pearce to get by the Motown Hitmakers, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Alexander Hamilton Cup today. For the game, Pearce went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.

Miguel Flores had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the bottom of the third inning. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run, helping Wicker Park to the win.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Pearce told the Wicker Park Herald.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Old League Park.
