Alexander Hamilton Cup Game 1 Victory for Hicks and Wildwood
The Wildwood Fishers started the Alexander Hamilton Cup in style today, downing the visiting Asheville Boomsticks at Carp Coliseum by a score of 4-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Fishers left-hander Brian Hicks threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball.

Cal Bailey aided the Wildwood cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with a double.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Hicks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Carp Coliseum in Madison.
