Downs Prevail, as Sam Adams Mug Goes to the Wire

To The Wall Baseball fans were certainly not disappointed with this To The Wall Baseball Sam Adams Mug.
The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Phoenix Downs prevailing over the Dam Site Drifters to advance to the Alexander Hamilton Cup.
Phoenix won the final game by a score of 7-4 at Superior Stadium and that sealed the series 2-1.
"Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said left fielder Dave Overton, who earned MVP honors.
For the series, Overton hit .538 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Phoenix Downs will play against the Columbus Red Birds in the next round. Columbus had a bye in the Sam Adams Mug. The Alexander Hamilton Cup schedule will be announced after the Sam Adams Mug finishes.
