Shamrocks Lose to Yard Cats, 6-3
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Letterkenny Shamrocks and Ypsi Yard Cats get after it.
The Ypsi Yard Cats downed the Letterkenny Shamrocks, 6-3, at The Squid's Beak. Henry Morse led the way, going 2-for-3 for Ypsi. António Hernández, credited with the save, is now 24 for 30 in save opportunities.
The Yard Cats benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the third. With Walt Richards at bat and Ypsi trailing 1-0, the Letterkenny miscue allowed Ypsi to plate 2 and take the lead, 2-1.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.
With the win, Ypsi upped its record to 102-60.
