Red Birds Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Columbus Red Birds powered past the Indianapolis Indians, 10-7, at Thunder Stadium. Hank Smith was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4, to lead the charge. This win makes it 8 in a row for Columbus.

Columbus used the clutch hitting of Yoriie Kokawa to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the 13th inning to give the Red Birds the lead, 9-7. For the game, Kokawa had 1 single and 2 doubles in 3 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Columbus skipper Joe Koralewski.
