Mud Hens Stumble, Lose to Drifters
The Dam Site Drifters got a stellar performance from pitcher Ling-lai Ran, who handcuffed the Great Black Swamp offense en route to a win, 9-1, at Superior Stadium. In 5 innings, Ran surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The triumph puts Dam Site at 85-75 for the season.

The Drifters got a big at-bat from second baseman Chet Tillman. For the game, Tillman was 1 for 3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 4th triple of the season gave Dam Site a 3-1 lead.
