Renegades Drop Fishers, 6-4
|
Two good teams met in a late-season showdown.
The Texas Renegades defeated the Wildwood Fishers, 6-4, at Carp Coliseum. Texas right fielder Rob Pace had a superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mark Geehan earned the save, his 39th in 46 tries.
Pace had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Javier Ramos, he banged a bases-clearing triple to left-center, giving the Renegades a 6-3 lead. It was the 22nd triple of the year for Pace.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Pace. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The win lifted the Texas record to 88-70.
