Johnson Now 15-11 After Subduing Indians
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Asheville Boomsticks and the Indianapolis Indians, pitcher Walter Johnson was the difference between victory and defeat. The Asheville right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Boomsticks win. The triumph puts Asheville at 83-75 for the season.
Johnson imposed his will on the Indians, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings while striking out 13. The right-hander upped his season record to 15-11.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Johnson said.
