The home crowd had a good time watching the Diablo Canyon Tritium and Ludington LumberJacks get after it.

Steve Jenkins left his imprint on the 5-2 Ludington win against the Diablo Canyon Tritium. Jenkins, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bobby O'Quinn, now 7-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. Harry Salazar converted his 17th save in 24 tries.

Jenkins contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ludington in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Jenkins took a fastball from Fernando León and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the LumberJacks to leap in front, 2-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Jenkins said.

Ludington is now riding a 3-game win streak.
