Reykjavik Phoenix starter Erjan Schoe turned in an exceptional performance against the Iowa City Stalkers at Hayden Fry Field, resulting in a Reykjavik win, 5-2. Herman Nance recorded the save, making him 18 for 25. The Phoenix go to 61-93 with the win.

Reykjavik used a well-timed hit by William Stephens to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Phoenix ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll savor this win," Schoe told the Reykjavik Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
