Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Henry Morse, the Ypsi Yard Cats defeated the Asheville Boomsticks, 7-5. Morse went 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Yard Cats. António Hernández notched his 23rd save in 28 chances. Ypsi has now won 10 in a row.

Ypsi used the clutch hitting of António Gómez to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Yard Cats ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.
