Indians Lose to Heisenbergs, 7-2
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Eric Woodruff, the Duke City Heisenbergs defeated the Indianapolis Indians, 7-2. Woodruff went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Heisenbergs. The winner was Guillermo Taranco in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Bartolo Guevara took the loss. Duke City is now 73-74.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nathan Carter? The Duke City center fielder had a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put the Heisenbergs on top, 2-0. For the game, Carter had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I thought we played a nice game," Woodruff told the Duke City Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
