|
Lorenzo Hernández was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Newcastle House of Brews. The shortstop went 2-2 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Ypsi Yard Cats. The second-place Yard Cats have won 5 in a row.
Ypsi used the clutch hitting of Alfonso Alemán to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yard Cats ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
