The Ypsi Yard Cats and Motown Hitmakers completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jaime Batista, the Ypsi Yard Cats defeated the Motown Hitmakers, 8-0. Batista went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Yard Cats. Ypsi raised its record to 90-56 with the win.

Batista had a key at-bat for Ypsi early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 31st home run of the season and gave Ypsi an early 2-0 lead.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Batista told the Ypsi Daily News.
