The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens beat the Diablo Canyon Tritium, 8-7, at Fission Field. The Mud Hens got a fine performance from designated hitter Álex Reyes, who slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Pablo Vargas earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. He upped his record to 13-10. The current losing streak for Diablo Canyon has reached 6 games.

Reyes had a game-changing home run in the top of the 17th. On a first pitch fastball from Reynaldo Rosário, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Mud Hens a 8-7 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Reyes.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Reyes told a Great Black Swamp Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
