The Columbus Red Birds wiggled past the Diablo Canyon Tritium, 6-5, at Fission Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Columbus pitcher Scott Thomas. Columbus is now 82-54, 6 games up in the To The Wall Baseball Patriotic League.

Though he didn't earn the victory, Thomas kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Columbus offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 hits and 1 run, while striking out 10.
