The Ludington LumberJacks took Reykjavik pitcher Sherman Ramos's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Husqvarna Field. The final score had Ludington getting past the Phoenix, 3-1. Ramos went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 6. Reliever Broderick Harper picked up the win. His record improves to 9-7. Sherman Ramos took the loss. Harry Salazar, credited with the save, is now 14 for 19 in save opportunities.

One of the biggest contributors for Ludington was right fielder Eugenio Paredes. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, Paredes got a 0-2 curveball and got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. That put the LumberJacks on top, 3-1.

Paredes called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

Ludington is now riding a 3-game win streak.
