The Texas Renegades beat the Ypsi Yard Cats, 4-3. Texas pitcher and North Canton, Ohio, native Mario Rodríguez led the way. Rodríguez, now 10-9, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. The victory gives Texas a record of 67-62.

Aubrey Kemp went 1-3 with a double for Texas. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Greg Soto. It was his 38th RBI of the season.
