Contreras K's 11 En Route to 3-1 Drifters Win
Luis Contreras never let the Yard Cats get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Drifters to a win, 3-1. Michinori Shinohara converted his 19th save in 22 tries. The triumph puts Dam Site at 67-58 for the season.

Contreras imposed his will on the Yard Cats, scattering 4 hits over 7.1 innings while striking out 11. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-4.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Contreras told the Dam Site News.
