Yard Cats Lose By a Run at Wildwood, 3-2
|
The Wildwood Fishers picked up a win at Carp Coliseum, knocking off the Ypsi Yard Cats, 3-2. Starting pitcher Kelly Hanes played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Hanes, now 12-7. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. The victory gives Wildwood a record of 76-43.
Juan Rosas, who finished 5th in the TTWB in slugging percentage with .572 in 2044, chipped in for Wildwood with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
