The Central Valley Turkey Vultures defeated the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 4-2, in To The Wall Baseball action at The Nest. Central Valley pitcher Matt Thomas had a standout performance. Central Valley has a 3-game win streak, while Great Black Swamp has lost 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Central Valley, had it not been for Avery Sheffield, the ten-time All-Star . Sheffield contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Central Valley up, 3-1.
