The Letterkenny Shamrocks picked up a win at Letterkenny Memorial Ballpark, knocking off the Asheville Boomsticks, 6-2. Starting pitcher Keith Martin was a big reason why. The 7th-place Shamrocks have won 5 in a row.

Had Bryce Taylor not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Taylor hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Shamrocks.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Taylor.
