Loss Extends Wicker Park Losing Streak

Newcastle and Wicker Park duked it out at Devil Cat Park and the House of Brews came out victorious.
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jim Doyle, the Newcastle House of Brews defeated the Wicker Park Devil Cats, 6-3. Doyle went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the House of Brews. The Devil Cats, at 55-54, have lost 6 in a row.
Alfonso Medina was vital part of the Newcastle win. He was 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third with one out, Medina hit a 2-run double. It made the score 4-0, in favor of the House of Brews.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Medina told the Newcastle Herald. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
