Spirited fans greeted the Phoenix Downs for their clash with the Diablo Canyon Tritium.

The Diablo Canyon Tritium got a stellar performance from pitcher Dave Beauchamp, who handcuffed the Phoenix offense en route to a win, 4-0, at The Ashes. Bill Hawk notched his 15th save in 18 chances.

Diablo Canyon used the timely hitting of Joe Wagner to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tritium on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

Wagner told a Diablo Canyon Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Tritium sport a record of 43-70.
