Mud Hens Lose to Heisenbergs, 8-1
|
The Duke City Heisenbergs got a rain-soaked win over the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens.
The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens got a superb performance from pitcher José Sánchez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Duke City. The Heisenbergs won the game, 8-1. Sánchez came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Duke City reliever Robbie Lamb picked up the win to move to 1-6. Phil Little suffered the loss.
Duke City relied on the hitting of Pedro Díaz to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Heisenbergs on top, 3-0. For the game, Díaz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Díaz said.
With the win, Duke City upped its record to 56-51.
