The Reykjavik Phoenix defeated the Wicker Park Devil Cats, 4-2, in To The Wall Baseball action at Devil Cat Park. Reykjavik pitcher Eric Short had a standout performance. Reykjavik is now 44-60.
Reykjavik used the clutch hitting of Paul Foley to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Phoenix ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"We'll try to build on that win," Foley told the Reykjavik Herald.
