Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Dam Site Drifters and Newcastle House of Brews.

Dam Site starter Luis Contreras pitched well against the Newcastle House of Brews at Superior Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Michinori Shinohara was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 19 save opportunities.

In the bottom of the fourth, Dam Site center fielder Li-zhu Shu had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Shu stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-3, Dam Site. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
