The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens beat the Letterkenny Shamrocks, 3-1. Great Black Swamp pitcher and Fairbanks, Alaska, native José Molina led the way. Molina picked up the win for Great Black Swamp, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Sean Barrett recorded the save, making him 22 for 23.

Great Black Swamp took a 3-1 lead on Ramón Medina's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Medina hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Letterkenny pitcher Tomás Silva shaking his head.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Medina told the Great Black Swamp Gazette.
