Richard Spivey was a vital contributor to the 7-4 Dam Site victory over Newcastle. The Drifters third baseman slugged 2 home runs. The winning pitcher was Ling-lai Ran. He's now 11-7. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Drifters.

Dave Kennedy, the Dam Site shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-3, Drifters. For the game, Kennedy went 1-3 with a walk.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Kennedy said.

With the win, the Drifters have a record of 53-49.
