Ypsi starter Sam Hicks had a strong outing against the Newcastle House of Brews at The Squid's Beak. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The victory gives Ypsi a record of 62-36.

António Gómez was the walk-off hero for Ypsi. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yard Cats pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

After the game, Ypsi manager Patrick Holt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
