Great Black Swamp Gets 6-1 Win
|
The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens topped the Indianapolis Indians, 6-1, in To The Wall Baseball action at Thunder Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Great Black Swamp pitcher and Whiteman AFB, Missouri, native Phil Little. Little went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. The win puts Great Black Swamp at 38-58.
It could have been a different outcome for Great Black Swamp, had it not been for Ramón Medina, the 27-year old shortstop . Medina contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Great Black Swamp up, 1-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Medina said after the game.
