Yard Cats Get Past Nashville for 4-3 Win
Fans watched the Ypsi Yard Cats and the Nashville Nightmare fight to the finish.

The Ypsi Yard Cats took Nashville pitcher Robbie Robinson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Flaming Ashes Ballpark. The final score had Ypsi getting past the Nightmare, 4-3. Robinson went 7.2 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 7. Ernesto Santiago, now 4-5, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

Ypsi used the timely hitting of Alfonso Alemán to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yard Cats on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Alemán. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."

The win elevated the Yard Cats to 60-36.
