3-2 Triumph Takes Ypsi to 58-34
|
Ypsi Yard Cats starter Todd Brown hurled his team past the Dam Site Drifters, 3-2. Brown, now 10-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Ypsi is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Yard Cats got a big at-bat from first baseman Terry Caldcleuch. For the game, Caldcleuch went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Ypsi a 3-2 lead.
After the game, Ypsi manager Patrick Holt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
