Texas and Great Black Swamp duked it out and the Renegades came out victorious.

Jason Stanford was a vital contributor to the 5-2 Texas victory over Great Black Swamp. The Renegades center fielder went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Timothy Qualtrough, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 6. Mark Geehan earned his 24th save in 27 chances.

Texas took a 5-2 lead on Stanford's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Phil Little in the top of the sixth, propelled Texas to the win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Stanford said.

The 6th-place Renegades have won 5 consecutive games.
