The Wicker Park Devil Cats picked up a win at Fission Field, knocking off the Diablo Canyon Tritium, 5-4. Starting pitcher Topher Clark played a key role in the triumph. Clark, now 7-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Feng-xiang Shuang got the save, his 9th in 12 chances.

Dwight Granter, who finished 2nd in the TTWB in stolen bases with 77 in 2049, aided the Wicker Park cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Clark said (again).

The win hiked the Wicker Park record to 51-40.
