Cummaquid starter Jesús Sáenz pitched effectively against the Phoenix Downs at The Ashes. The right-hander led his team to a 6-5 win. Scott Lowry got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings. Cummaquid is now 36-49.

Cummaquid used the bat of Ryan Gallagher to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Squids ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
