The Newcastle House of Brews topped the Reykjavik Phoenix, 10-4, in To The Wall Baseball action at Moses Fleetwood Walker Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Newcastle pitcher Jerry Elder. Elder, the winner, moves to 7-8. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. With the win, Newcastle pushed its record to 48-36.

Dennis Gibson had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Newcastle. With the bases loaded and the House of Brews leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
