Devil Cats Defeat Drifters, 4-3
|
The Wicker Park Devil Cats had to overcome a big game from Dam Site designated hitter George Matthews to leave Devil Cat Park with a victory. And they did, winning 4-3. Matthews was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Wicker Park has now won 4 straight.
The Devil Cats procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Andrew Hahn. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Hahn told the Wicker Park Herald.
