The Ypsi Yard Cats topped the Columbus Red Birds, 7-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at The Squid's Beak. The game was highlighted by the performance of Ypsi left fielder Bernardo Portillo. The win puts Ypsi at 51-30 this season.

The Yard Cats got a big hit from third baseman Judy Johnson. In the bottom of the fifth, Johnson pounded a run-scoring double to center. His 17th double of the season put the Yard Cats ahead, 2-0.

Johnson called the win "a collective effort."
