Clark Breezes to Shutout Victory
The Wicker Park Devil Cats did little to support starter Topher Clark against the Indianapolis Indians, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Indians, striking out 6 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Clark allowed Wicker Park to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Topher, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Clark told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

His record for the year is 5-6 in 15 starts and Clark has a 3.95 ERA.
