Turkey Vultures Collect 2-1 Win Over Devil Cats
|
Wicker Park pitcher Arnold Smith gave the Turkey Vultures all they could handle, but in the end, Central Valley left The Euclyptus Nest with a win, 2-1. Smith allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 8.1 innings. The victory puts Central Valley at 29-49.
Melvin Stevens won the game for Central Valley when homered off Tan Yo in the bottom of the tenth.
"It was a test of wills," said Tony Meyer, the Central Valley skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
