Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Nashville Nightmare and Asheville Boomsticks.
In a low-scoring affair between the Nashville Nightmare and the Asheville Boomsticks, pitcher Juan Castro was the difference between victory and defeat. The Nashville right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Nightmare win. The victory gives Nashville a record of 38-35.
George Jones, who is tied for 8th in the TTWB in stolen bases with 39, aided the Nashville cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Jones told the Nashville Bulletin.
